Baby Tineraries - Baby Schedules for the first three yearsYour little one may have a few years to go before she must keep track of time on whatever future manifestation of a Blackberry exists by then, but her schedule is perhaps even more important to her now!
Ask any mom who knows and she'll tell you one of the best ways to ensure a happy, well-adjusted baby is to keep her on a schedule. Not only will your baby appreciate coming to know what to expect each and every day, it willmake your life as a mama much, mach easier.
Many moms become deterred early on from the notion of sticking to a schedule, mostly because bringing home baby is inherently a totally chaotic, surreal time in our lives. With so many different things to remember at any given moment, the prospect can be positively overwhelming. However, the sooner you can situate you and into a routitne, the easier it will br for everythimg else to fall into place!
In our Baby-tinerary section, you'll find downloadable, printable sample schedules for you to try with your own. Have a stellar schedule that rocks for you and your sweetpea? Post it on our Belly Boards, please! Many mamas with thank you!
Of course, remember that each babe's a different masterpiece-of-work altogether, and what works like a dream for one, might be more like a nightmare for the next. That's why we thought it would be a great idea to devote anentire section of our Web site to baby schedules!
EPS!Many moms find that the very key to their babies' happiness lies in a super simple little secret referred to as the EPS - or, Eat-Play-Sleep - routine. The Eat-Play-Sleep routine calls for pretty much just what it sounds like: Baby is fed upon waking, Baby plays to her little heart's content, exhausting herself by using up all of that energy gained from her previous feeding, before falling into a long, deep slumber, waking again only when it's time to....you guessed it! Eat!
ESP?Other parents contend that the eat, play, sleep routine is contraindicated for breastfed babies, since most breastfeeders nurse themselves to sleep... in fact, it's how they go to sleep! So, the alternative to EPS is ESP: Baby eats, falls asleep and then wakes to play.
Whatever routine you choose, the key is to have one... babies, toddlers, kids, teens and adults thrive on routine, whether we like to think so or not!
